Book Club March 11, 2013

Here is the latest from Mavis – it all sounds pretty interesting and should create a rousing discussion.  Hope you can make it!

What: NCJW Book Club

When: April 21, 6:30 PM

Where: Home of Freida Sweitzer

What:  We decided on TWO books for the April meeting.

1.The Testament of Mary – Author Colin Toibin

Mary was, after all, a Jewish mother. This column by Maureen Dowd is an interesting interview and discussion on the book. The book is only 85 pages.

2. When Women Were Birds by  Terry Tempest Williams

A Kansas City Star Best Book of the Year
“Brilliant, meditative, and full of surprises, wisdom, and wonder.”—Ann Lamott, author of Imperfect Birds
