ABOUT NCJW
The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW),
Inc. is a grassroots organization of volunteers and advocates who
turn progressive ideals into action. Inspired by Jewish values,
NCJW strives for social justice by improving the quality of life
for women, children, and families and by safeguarding individual
rights and freedoms. There are 90,000 members and supporters
who are active at the grass roots level in more than 135 Sections
in some 500 communities. NCJW is the oldest, major Jewish women's
organization in the United States, founded in 1893 by Hannah G.
